Our Company

Acumen Algorithms is a Florida Limited Liability Company that is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA ID # 0491413).

We provide 2 different algorithmic managed futures programs that utilize a short term trend following strategy: the Global Intraday Trends Program and the Global Diversified Trends Program.  The Global Intraday Trends Program exclusively trades on an intraday basis, while the Global Diversified Trends Program consists of both intraday and short term non-intraday trades.

Our Mission & Trading Philosophy

We aspire to improve the lives of our clients by improving their trading results and helping them achieve their financial goals. Furthermore, we desire to communicate as openly and transparently as possible with our clients, the only limitations to this being that we can not divulge any overly specific and proprietary information regarding our algorithms.

All of our algorithms utilize a trend following strategy that aims to ride out trends in financial instruments for as long as possible while optimizing profits. Our fully automated algorithms trade in both long and short positions on a short term basis. We also do not manually intervene in any individual trades, as we prefer to make continuous adjustments to the algorithm itself to impact and improve our trading.

Our Ambition

As a newly registered Commodity Trading Advisor, we aspire in the near term to deliver a high level of performance in our algorithmic programs to our clients.  If we are successful in achieving this objective, we will eventually establish a strong reputation in the managed futures industry which will allow us to accumulate a high degree of assets under management.

Our CEO & Founder

Our CEO and founder, Nick Kitcharoen, is highly analytical by nature and has a passion for trading and developing automated trading systems. He is a finance person first and a developer second, as he worked for many years in corporate finance conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations in order to improve financial results. His view is that having a strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, while avoiding complacency, is absolutely vital for the continuous improvement of our algorithms. Mr. Kitcharoen holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance from Cornell University.
